One Year of October 7 Attack: A Look Back at the Israel-Hamas Conflict

Tel Aviv: Today marks a year after Hamas’ surprise attack on Israel and Tel Aviv’s campaign in Gaza has claimed the lives of thousands and displaced millions. Since these attacks, international efforts and other agreements have failed to yield any lasting results. Tensions remain to be escalated in ther Middle East with a potentially broader and harsher conflict evolving between Iran and Hezbollah.

To mark the first anniversary of the Israel-Hamas war, demonstrations were held across the major cities in the world urging to end the bloodshed in Gaza and other Middle East regions. March was held in Paris, Rome, Manila, London, and other places.

On the eve of October 7, Israel intensified its bombardment on Gaza after launching a new round of airstrikes on Beruit suburbs late Sunday. The IDF in a post on X said, “Aircraft of the Air Force attacked a short time ago, in a targeted manner and under the intelligence guidance of the Israeli Defense Forces and the Southern Command, terrorists from the terrorist organization Hamas who were operating in command and control complexes set up in the “Shahda Al-Aqsa” hospital in the Deir al-Balah area.”  This attack came as a retaliation as the Israeli military said that rockets were fired from northern Gaza and crossed into southern Israel on Sunday.
