New Delhi: Indian Professional boxing sensation Neeraj Goyat attended the Pro Kabaddi League (PKL) and expressed his excitement for the sport. Goyat was present to support his home franchise Haryana Steelers against Jaipur Pink Panthers at the Noida Indoor Stadium on November 23, Saturday. Goyat also held a press conference before the match.
Goyat shared his thoughts on PKL evolution as it made a huge impact in rural areas and gave them a platform to showcase their talent. Goyat also believed that PKL gives Indian athletes international recognition and that PKL also gives financial stability to our local athletes.
“Our country continues to achieve gold medals in various sports, and kabaddi is deeply rooted in our culture,” said Goyat. “What’s remarkable about Pro Kabaddi League is how it has transformed over these 11 years. The league has created opportunities for aspiring players who never imagined they could go beyond their local boundaries.” Goyat said.
A reporter asked, If Goyat had played Kabaddi which position he would have played and Goyat replied with his boxing instinct that he would be taking up defending job and to good at counter strikes. Goyat also praised his home franchise Haryana Steelers as they are very committed to the game and their dedication and discipline keep the sport growing.
Haryana Steelers stay on top
Haryana Steelers made a strong position on the points table as they defeated Jaipur Pink Panthers in their last match. Steeler’s defence have been their biggest strength this season. Steelers are now won 10 matches out of 13 and have 51 points leaving behind Telugu Titans on 43 points.
Shivam Patre and Vinay made their Super 10 in raiding against Panthers and with both department are in form, previous year runner-ups will be crossing the line this time. Steelers lost the final in the last season against Puneri Paltan but they started this season, where they left the previous season.
