PKL top raiders & top defenders: Most raid points & most tackle points post Noida leg

New Delhi: The Noida leg of the Pro Kabaddi League season 11 concluded on Sunday after Dabang Delhi KC and Patna Pirates registered victories against Tamil Thalaivas and Bengal Warriorz at the Noida Indoor Stadium. Dabang Delhi defeated Tamil Thalaivas in a lopsided contest 32-21 to finish as an unbeaten side during the Noida leg. The team played six matches between November 10 and December 1, winning three and three matches ending in tie affair.

Naveen Kumar picked 11 points while skipper Ashu Malik added only five points. Yogesh Dahiya made four tackles and was complemented by Gaurav Chhillar and Sandeep in the defence with both making two tackles each to outsmart the opposition.

In another match of the day, Devank and Ayan continued their prolific run on the mat with the young raiders running through the experienced Bengal Warriorz defence led by Iranian stalwart Fazel Atrachali. Devank picked up another Super 10 (13 points) to keep his side ahead in a thrilling game of kabaddi, where the Patna outfit prevailed with 38-35 margin. Ayan Lochchab was short of the Super 10 mark, accounting for eight points to complement Devank.

 

Top raiders in Pro Kabaddi League after Noida leg

Devank has consolidated his top spot by adding 13 points in the last game of the Noida leg. The Rohtak-born raider has now amassed 194 points from 15 matches, being far above his contemporaries in the top raiders’ charts. Dabang Delhi skipper Ashu Malik moved back to the second spot after picking up 5 points against Tamil Thalaivas, displacing Arjun Deshwal to the third place.

Ayan also moved to fourth place with a total of 121 raide points while Nitin Kumar Dhankar levelled Telugu Titans stand-in skipper Vijay Malik’s tally of 118 raid points to finish at joint-fifth place.

Top defenders in Pro Kabaddi League after Noida leg

Nitesh Kumar of Tamil Thalaivas picked one tackle point to join Haryana Steelers’ Mohammadreza Shadloui in the second spot with both accumulating 51 tackle points each. Nitin Rawal of Bengaluru Bulls is on the top with a mere difference of one point.

Patna Pirates defender Ankit Jaglan picked up three tackle points against Bengal Warriorz to join the likes of Gaurav Khatri, Sumit Sangwan, and Rahul Sethpal. All these defenders are levelled at fourth position with a total of 47 tackle points achieved by each of them.

Bengal Warriorz captain Fazel Atrachali earned three tackle points against Patna to enter the top 10 defenders’ list after the completion of the Noida leg.
