New Delhi: As Matchday 11 starts in the Premier League, Liverpool sits at the top of the standings while Manchester City will try their best to make a strong comeback after losing their first game in the competition this season last weekend. Four games will simultaneously kick off the weekend clash. Liverpool will of course try to increase the points gap as they approach the week.
This weekend only Ipswich Town and Wolverhampton Wanderers are the only teams who are still hunting a win in this season. The end of this week’s clashes will see the international break but before the Matchday 11 action kicks off let’s preview which teams hold the upper hand in this round of action.

Southampton will travel to the West Midlands to face Wolves away from home. The Saints will be looking to keep their winning streak on going for the first time this season. Last weekend they gained a well-earned three points against Everton as Adam Armstrong scored a late goal from where returning was enough.
On the other hand, Wolves are still in search of their first victory of the season. Last weekend they played out a four goal thriller with Crystal Palace. Still rooted to the bottom of the Premier League table with three points accrued from a possible 30 Wolves continue to stick by their under fire manager Gary O’Neil whose supporters turned on him last weekend for what they perceived to be a clueless substitution.

Two under pressure managers will come face to face in a must win fixture for both when Sean Dyche takes his Everton side to the capital to face Julen Lopetegui’s West Ham United at the London Stadium. The Hammers’ boss is the current favourite to be next manager to leave in the Premier League after a humbling defeat at the City ground last week.
Everton are in the 16th place in the standings while West Ham are in the 14th place. Both have struggled this season and have not been in their best form till now. The Hammers have good plans in their ranks and will look to bring best out of their squad in the upcoming fixture. The Toffees have blown hot and cold this season and will need to be consistent to move up in the league table.

Brentford will host Bournemouth at the Gtech Community Stadium. Both teams will aim to continue to look for a top-half finish as the match conclude. The Bees’ form has slipped in recent weeks as they lost two of their last three Premier League matches. The latest setback came against Fulham as they lost 2-1 and got dropped to 12th in the standings.
Meanwhile, Bournemouth started off season pretty well but they recently dropped few games and are currently in 10th place in the Premier League standings. The Cherries stunned Pep Guardiola’s Man City with a 2-1 win last weekend and will look to achieve the same result this weekend.

Crystal Palace and Fulham both will be vying to claim all the three points and enter the international break on a high meet at Selhurst Park as Palace hosts Fulham. The Eagles are in the 17th place and struggled this season so far. Palace were held to 2-2 draw by Wolves last weekend and will look to take it up a notch this weekend.
Meanwhile, The Cottagers are in the ninth place in the standings and have been quite impressive this season. They edged past Brentford to a narrow 2-1 victory this week and will be confident ahead of this fixture.

Brighton will host Manchester City at the Amex Stadium in the Premeir League fixture. City will seek to avoid losing four games in a row under Pep Guardiola and this is for the fist time they have lost three consecutive games since April 2018. Injuries have limited the effectiveness of the winning machine Man City with Rodri (ACL), Oscar Bobb (leg fracture), Ruben Dias and John Stones (both unspecified) and Jack Grealish (Groin). The Cityizens will aim to stop the rot and enter the international break on a high by beating the Brighton this weekend.
On the other hand, The Seagulls after losing to 3-2 to Liverpool in the EFL Cup last 16 they came up short against the Merseyside in the last weekend and despite putting in a spirited performance at Anfield they lost 2-1 to the Reds. Fabian Hürzeler’s side will aim to return to winning ways as they enter international break.

Aston Villa will travel to Anfield as they face Liverpool next this weekend. Liverpool are proudly flaunting their 100% Champions League record and will aim to keep the same going. Arne Slot’s displayed an impressive showdown midweek as they dismantled Bayern Leverkusen 4-0 in the UEFA Champions League. The Reds at the top of the league standings and have been excellent over the past year.
Aston Villa, on the other hand, are in sixth place in the standings and have been impressive this season and will look to pull off an upset this weekend. Unai Enery’s side has suffered three successive defeats including Wednesday’s 1-0 loss at Club Brugge which have slightly thrown the Villans off course. They will aim to rejuvenate themselves this weekend ahead of international break.
