New Delhi: The Mahakumbh Mela is going to be organized in Uttar Pradesh’s Prayagraj from January 13 to February 26. It is one of the biggest Hindu festivals and is attended by lakhs of people from different parts of the country and even from foreign nations. During Mahakumbh, the Indian Railways has announced special trains from different cities of the country to Prayagraj. The trains from Pune to Prayagraj

Every Thursday, 05290 Pune-Muzaffarpur will operate from January 9 and from January 11, 04116 Lokmanya Tilak-Subedarganj will run every Saturday and these trains will operate during the Mahakumbh period. Also, the IRCTC will operate a special ‘Bharat Gaurav Train’ from Pune to Prayagraj. Along with travel, food is also being provided to the passengers in Bharat Gaurav train. The train has many facilities for the passengers and its fare is quite expensive.

Apart from these special trains, there are very few trains available from Pune to Prayagraj. However, you can come to Mumbai and take the train.

  • Pune- DNR Express (12149): It will depart from Pune at 21:05 pm and will reach Prayagraj at 19:45 pm on the next day. It will take around 22 hours and 40 minutes for the train to cover the distance. While the Sleeper Class fare is Rs 630, the AC 3-Tier fare is Rs 1,650. On the other hand, the fare for AC 2-Tier coach is Rs 2,360.
  • Patna Express (12141): The train will start its journey at 22:35 pm from Mumbai’s Lokmanya Tilak Terminus and will reach Prayagraj at 3:15 pm. The train will take around 34 hours to cover the distance. While the fare for Sleeper Class is Rs 700, the fare for AC 3-Tier is Rs 1,850. On the other hand, the AC 2-Tier fare is Rs 2,650.
