New Delhi: Team India stars Jasprit Bumrah, Suryakumar Yadav and Rinku Singh led wishes for their sisters on Raksha Bandhan 2024. The festival which honours the bond between brothers and sisters is being celebrated across the nation on Monday, August 19. On the auspicious day, sisters tie a sacred thread called ‘rakhi’ around their brothers’ wrists.
The sisters pray for the well-being of their brothers. In return, the brothers too promise to protect their sisters from all evil. Indian cricketers also celebrated the festival with their sisters and shared adorable posts for them on social media.
Team India pacer Jasprit Bumrah wished his elder sister Juhika, who is a celebrity make-up artist, with an adorable caption. “Happy rakshabandhan to my wonderful sister and Angad’s bua,” Bumrah wrote with a picture of him and his sister on his Instagram story. Bumrah and her sister Juhika share a close bond since their childhood and have supported each other through thick and thin.

Suryakumar will be next seen in action in the first round of matches in the upcoming Duleep Trophy 2024-25. The star batter has been picked in Team C which will be led by Ruturaj Gaikwad and will be hoping to impress ahead of the Bangladesh Test series. Rinku was snubbed from the Duleep Trophy squads while Bumrah has been rested from the domestic tournament.
