New Delhi: Indian all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja on Friday took to his social media handle Instagram to share a cryptic picture which has left the internet intrigued. Jadeja, who was last seen in the recently-concluded Border-Gavaskar Trophy 2024-25, posted a picture of his Test jersey on the social media platform which is now getting circulated across platforms.
While the photo left the fans clueless with some assuming that the Indian cricketer might be calling it quits from the longest format of the game. Jadeja, along with Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma, resigned from the T20Is last year after India clinched the T20 World Cup 2024. Since then, the all-rounder, who performed fairly well in the BGT against Australia but still faced criticism, has been active in Tests and ODIs.
However, this post of his has started circulating rumours on internet with people speculating that Jadeja might be announcing his decision of retirement from Test cricket very soon.

Jadeja’s knock in Brisbane Test
Ravindra Jadeja scored a valiant knock of 77 runs in the Brisbane Test match, which proved to be a standout performance from the southpaw. But overall, he could just muster 135 across three matches and picked only four wickets. India went down in the series 1-3 and as per multiple media reports, it is being learnt that his performance is also under scrutiny and the BCCI selection committee might take a call on his future.
While a return for India in the Tests is long away, the Men in Blue are gearing up for their England series which is set to commence from January 22. England will tour India for five T20I matches and three ODIs and then India will fly to Dubai for the big ICC Champions Trophy. Since the squads for the upcoming assignments are yet to be announced so it will be interesting to see whether Jadeja fits in or is left out.
