India’s schedule on homecoming day
While the early morning airport welcome was just the beginning, the victorious Team India’s schedule gets hectic as the days passes by. ITC Maurya hotel in central Delhi will be the place where the World Champions will be taking rest before they meet Prime Minister Narendra Modi at his residence at 11 AM. The Indian team would be hosted for breakfast by PM Modi before they head back to the hotel to take some rest.
At 2 in the afternoon, the Rohit Sharma-led side will leave for Mumbai for an open bus victory parade, which would be akin to what took place back in 2007, when MS Dhoni-led Indian clinched the inaugural T20 World Cup title. After the open bus parade culminates, Team India will head to the iconic Wankhede stadium where they will be felicitated again.
