Moscow: Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi is currently in Russia for a two-day visit to attend the 22nd India-Russia Summit and also hold important discussions with Russian President Vladimir Putin.
PM Modi, who landed in Russia yesterday, will remain in the country today and is expected to fly to Austria later in the evening. Here’s what all is on his agenda for today.
PM Modi To Begin Day with Community Event
Prime Minister Narendra Modi was welcomed to Russia yesterday in Novo-Ogarevo by President Putin who also hosted him for dinner at the Presidential Palace.
Today, PM Modi will begin his day with a community event and that will be followed by wreath-laying at the Unknown Soldiers’ Tomb. Restricted talks with Putin, delegated talks and exchange of documents is also part of the agenda.

PM Modi To Land In Austria Today Evening
After participating in all the events and discussions, PM Modi emplane for Vienna, Austria and is expected to arrive at the airport at 7:10 PM (10:40 PM IST); in another fifteen minutes, at around 7:25 PM (10:55 PM IST), PM Modi would reach his hotel.
In another news, Russia has decided to release all Indians serving in the Russian Army and will facilitate them after Prime Minster Narendra Modi raised this issue with President Vladimir Putin during his 2-day visit to Moscow, as per sources.
The issue was raised at a private dinner between the leaders of the two countries hosted by Putin last evening.
During the private meeting, the Russian counterpart said, “You have dedicated your entire life to serving the Indian people, and people feel it,” to which PM Modi said, ” “You are right, I have only one goal – my country, the people of India.”
