New Delhi: India’s tennis veteran Rohan Bopanna was knocked out of the French Open 2025 with his Czech partner Adam Pavlásek as they lost to second seeds Harri Heliövaara and Henry Patten in Round 3 of the men’s doubles on Sunday. The unseeded Indo-Czech pair fought tooth and nail in the pre-quarterfinals, but was ultimately routed 2-6, 6-7(5) by Heliövaara from Finland and British player Patten, ranked three and four in the world, respectively.

In the opening set, the second seeds zoomed to a 5-1 lead with a double break. The Finnish player served out the set at love and finished the game with an overhead smash while intercepting a return. In the second set, Bopanna had made a solid start as he held without losing a point on his serve. Meanwhile, Briton Patten, a left-handed player, also came out all guns blazing, as he sent down some powerful and measured angled serves.
