New Delhi: Indian skipper Rohit Sharma achieved a big milestone during the Champions Trophy 2025 clash against Bangladesh after he completed 11000 runs in the ODI format. Rohit, who was 11 runs short of the feat, got to the record with a stylish boundary off Mustafizur Rahman in the fourth over of the second innings in Dubai on Thursday.
Rohit, thus, became the fourth Indian batter after legendary Sachin Tendulkar, Virat Kohli and Sourav Ganguly to achieve the massive feat. In the overall list, he became the 10th batter to have crossed the 11000-run mark in the 50-over format of the game. Rohit achieved the landmark in his 261st innings in ODIs, joining another list of elite records.

Rohit Sharma became the second-fastest batter in the world accomplish the feat of completing 11000 runs in ODIs, after he achieved the milestone in his 261st inning. Kohli leads the elite list as he reached to 11000 ODI runs in just 222 innings while Tendulkar sits on the third spot after completing the landmark in 276 innings.

Meanwhile, the skipper lost his wicket after giving India a good start in the chase of 229 runs after Bangladesh were bundled out for 228 runs in 49.4 overs in the first innings. Rohit scored a fiery 41 runs knock in just 36 balls which included seven sensational boundaries. After he was beaten early in the first over and looked a bit uncomfortable, he moved ahead strongly displaying his marvellous batting skills.
