New Delhi: UFC President announced the UFC 306 fight card on his social media on July 26, Friday. UFC Bantamweight Champion will headline the UFC 306 as he defends his title against No. 1 Bantamweight contender Merab Dvalishili at Sphere in Paradise, Nevada.
Dana confirmed that UFC 306 will be one of the most expensive productions in promotional history and due to sponsorship deals, the UFC 306 will be called as Riyad Season ‘Noche UFC’.
O’Malley will defend his title for the second time, the first defense was the proper dominance from the Champion as he won all five rounds against Marlon Chito Vera at UFC 301. O’Malley is on a six-fight winning streak.
Meanwhile, Dvalishvili is on a 10-fight winning streak, he has kept himself as the top contender for the title for the past few years. Dvalishvili’s close friend Sterling was the champion earlier so he didn’t challenge the champion but now O’Malley has defeated Sterling he will go for the gold.
The co-main event will be a women’s flyweight title match as Alexa Grasso will fight against former champion Valentina Shevchenko. Grasso won the flyweight title against Schevchenko in 2023 as she got a fourth-round submission victory over her, now Schevchenko will look to avenge her loss and win her title back.
Brian Ortega will fight Diego Lopes as this fight is re-booked in the featherweight division, Ortega pulled off from the last fight as he got a fever before some hours to the bout.
