Sensational!!! David Miller takes one-handed catch to dismiss Axar Patel – WATCH

New Delhi: South African cricketer David Miller took a breathtaking catch during the second T20 International match against India played at the St George’s Park in Gqeberha on Sunday, November 10.

During the eighth over of the Indian innings, South Africa captain Aiden Markram tossed the ball outside the off-stump on the final delivery of the over. Tilak Varma drove it aerially with the intent to clear the covers. However, Miller stunned everyone with his acrobatic show. The senior Proteas player dove to his right and plucked the ball with his right hand, the body went full circles into their air before landing on the field.

The catch was taken within a blink of an eye which left the batter in shock while the fielders rushed to Miller to celebrate the dismissal.

Tilak was dismissed for a run-a-ball 20 as Markram picked up his first wicket of the match. The southpaw played some stylish shots to redeem the Indian innings after the visitors lost three wickets in the powerplay overs.

Sanju Samson, Suryakumar Yadav fail to fuel firepower at the top

After scoring back-to-back centuries, Sanju Samson was dismissed for a three-ball duck. South African pacer Marco Jansen cleaned him up with the length delivery pitching around the leg stump. Samson erred in playing the line and it costed him his dismissal.

After hitting one boundary, Abhishek Sharma followed Samson in the dugout after a misjudged pull got him caught by Jansen off Gerald Coetzee’s bowling in the following over. Andile Simelane bowled a fabulous delivery to plumb Suryakumar Yadav for lbw for just four runs to claim his maiden international wicket.

A sluggish knock from Hardik Pandya (39 runs off 45 balls) late in the innings helped India post 124 for 6 in the first innings.
