On the first day of 2025 Sensex 30 opened on a positive note. Around 9:15 am the benchmark index was at 78,265.07 points, recording a rise of 126.06 points or 0.16%. Nifty 50 opened at 23,675.65 points up 30.85 points or 0.13%. However, both indices quickly slipped into the red territory within a few minutes of trade.
In early trade (around 9:30 am), the prominent gainers on NSE included stocks such as Apollo Hospitals, Asian Paints, Sun Pharma, L&T, HCL Tech, TCS, SBI Life, Britannia, Trent, tata Motors, BPCL, RIL, Tech Mahindra and Hindustan Unilever and Infosys.
Trading on the last day of 2024 ended dragging Sensex 30 in the red. The index closed the day at 78,139.01 recording a decline of 109.12 points, or 0.14%. Nifty 50 too ended in the red. It closed the day at 23,644.80 with a marginal dip of 0.100 points (or 0.00042%).
Both Sensex and Nifty opened in the green on January 1, 2025. At 9:15 am Sensex 30 was at 78,265.07 points, recording a rise of 126.06 points or 0.16% while Nifty 50 opened at 23,675.65 points up 30.85 points or 0.13%.
