New Delhi: Babar Azam’s woeful run with the willow continued in the 2nd T20I against Australia in Sydney on Saturday as the Pakistan star batter was once again dismissed cheaply for just 3 runs in the game. Babar flopped as Pakistan failed to chase down the target of 148 runs to lose the game by 13 runs and suffer their second successive defeat in the ongoing three-match series.
While he endured intense criticism on social media for his flop show in the 2nd T20I, Babar was also trolled and heckled by a group of fans inside the stadium during the game. In a video that has gone viral on social media, some Pakistani fans can be seen telling Babar that he doesn’t deserve a place in T20Is and should go back home.
Babar was fielding near the boundary rope when a group of fans taunted him from behind over his poor performances. “Oye tu sharam kar ja oye, teri T20 vich jagah nahi ban rahi. Wapas laut ja (Have some shame. You don’t deserve a place in T20s. Go back home),” the fans can be heard shouting from the stands. Babar can be seen giving the group a death stare in the viral video.

Have some shame, you have no place in T20s, go back to Pakistan.
(Babar hears, gets angry and stares at them)

Babar, who has been enduring a lean patch across all formats for quite some time now, had a horrendous start to the T20I series against Australia. The former Pakistan captain was dismissed cheaply on just 3 runs in the 1st T20I before falling again on 3 in the 2nd T20I on Saturday. He also endured a poor run in the ODI series against the Aussies where he managed only 80 runs in three matches.
Pakistan look for consolation victory in 3rd T20I
Having already conceded the three-match series after back-to-back defeats in the first two matches, Pakistan will be looking to bounce back to winning ways in the 3rd T20I in Hobart on Monday. Pakistan will be hoping to clinch a consolation victory in Hobart to end the series 2-1. The visitors earlier beat Australia 2-1 in the three-match ODI series under new skipper Mohammad Rizwan.
