New Delhi: While he continues to gain new heights in cricket and script new records, yet Virat Kohli is not the same. On Friday, during the second day of the first Test match against Bangladesh in Chennai, Kohli failed to keep up to the expectations yet again as the star batter walked back to the pavilion after scoring just 17 runs.

Since 2021, Virat Kohli has just amassed 499 runs in 1094 deliveries against the spin bowlers which clearly reflects his struggle. As far as the dismissals are concerned, he has been dismissed 18 times by slow bowlers since last three years in Asia. With an average of just above 27 and a strike rate of 45, the flamboyant batter, who used dominate against the spinners in Asia has failed to show up.
His aggressive style of batting has taken a severe hit since the last three years and it is observed that he goes into a shell against the spin bowling, becoming too defensive, which ultimately leads to his wicket.
