- 1 tsp oil or ghee
- 1/2 tsp mustard seeds
- 1/2 tsp urad dal
- 1 green chilli
- 1/2 inch ginger (grated or finely chopped)
- 5-6 curry leaves
- A pinch of asafoetida
Steps to prepare:
- Cook rice until soft and slightly mushy. Let it cool completely.
- In summer, use leftover rice from the fridge to make it extra cooling.
- Whisk curd well. Mix it with a little milk to reduce the sourness and improve the texture. Add salt to taste.
- Mash the cooled rice lightly and mix with the curd-milk mixture until well combined.
