New Delhi: On account of Maharashtra Day on May 1, 2025, the Indian stock market will observe a holiday on Thursday. The day is marked as a state-holiday to mark the formation of the state of Maharashtra on May 1, 1960.

The trading holiday calendar released by the exchanges, mentions that no trading will take place on the National Stock Exchange (NSE) and the BSE throughout the day across all segments, including equities, equity derivatives, currency derivatives, and the securities lending and borrowing (SLB) segments.

Meanwhile, MCX & NSE commodity market will remain open only for the evening trading session i.e., from 5:00 PM to 11:30 PM.
