New Delhi: The Sensex closed at a new high of 85,169.87, up 255.83 points on Wednesday, while the Nifty rose 63.75 points to 26,004.15. Power Grid, Axis Bank and NTPC were the top gainers on Wednesday. Indian indices tracked gains from Asian peers as well as Wall Street. Aarti Drugs: The pharma company received 7 observations from the US FDA on the conclusion of an inspection of its API manufacturing facility in Tarapur, Maharashtra.
Adani Enterprises: Adani Group said it was exploring aircraft service opportunities in collaboration with Canadian jetmaker Bombardier. The focus would be on enhancing MRO services with Bombardier’s help, said the group.
Defence stocks: Shares of defence companies will remain in focus today after defence minister Rajnath Singh shared that the sector’s production hit a new record high of Rs 1.27 lakh crore in FY24.
HDFC Bank: Swiss lender UBS Group invested Rs 543 crore into HDFC Bank via open market transactions to pick up 30.72 lakh shares in India’s largest private lender. BNP Paribas also purchased 3.07 million shares of the bank at Rs 1,768 per share.
Infosys: The company has been tasked with setting up a global technology hub for Sweden’s electric performance carmaker Polestar.
Piramal Pharma: The company aims to become a more than $2 billion company in the domains of global pharma, health and wellness by FY30, said chairperson Nandini Piramal.
Reliance Power: The company’s unit Rosa Power prepaid debt worth Rs 850 crore to Varde Partners, said people familiar with the matter. Rosa Power operates a 1,200 MW power plant in Shahjahanpur’s Rosa village, in UP.
Shriram Properties: The real estate developer launched a residential project in Chennai with a total saleable area of 1.1 million sq ft with a Rs 550-600 crore revenue potential.
Vedanta: The mining major on Wednesday said its board will consider a proposal to for a fourth interim dividend for Fy 25 on October 8, 2024.
ZEEL: The company inked an agreement with filmmaker Subhash Ghai’s Mukta Arts offering satellite and media rights for 37 films over a six year period.
