New Delhi: Indian indices closed flat on Monday after investors booked profits despite positive momentum derived from US markets after the July 4 holiday. All eyes will be in the Sensex and Nifty as well as the quarterly guidance of India’s corporate sector. Here are stocks that are likely to remain in focus today on Tuesday, July 9, 2024:
Airtel: The country’s second-largest telco allegedly underwent a data breach that leaked the sensitive data of 375 million customers onto the dark net, CNCBTV18 reported.
Jupiter Wagons: The private railway freight manufacturer opened its qualified institutional placement with a floor price of RS 689.47 per share, a 5 per cent discount to its Monday closing price of Rs 723.20 apiece.
Pitti Engineering: The motor and generator manufacturing company launched its Rs 360 crore QIP with an issue price of Rs 1,o054.25 apiece.
Pharma companies: Zydus, Lupin and Glenmark will remain in focus on Tuesday after it was reported that these companies’ share prices surged over 95 per cent each in the past year driving up the Nifty pharma index by 48 per cent year-on-year.
Mahanagar Gas: The city utility company raised the prices of CNG and domestic PNG in Mumbai by Rs 1.50 per kg and Rs 1 per standard cbm, respectively, taking their prices to S 75 per kg and Rs 48 per scbm.
Titan: The Tata group stock will remain in focus as the company’s Q1 business update indicated a lower-than-expected rise in jewellery sales owing to elevated gold prices and a decline in a number of weddings.
Godrej Consumer: The consumer giant shared that its India business performed well while volume growth saw a double-digit rise in Q1FY24, led by extreme heatwave conditions.
Senco Gold: The company reported an 11 per cent jump in retail sales according to its Q1FY25 update, even as the company expanded its store presence by 6 showrooms during the period under consideration.
L&T: The construction and engineering behemoth secured orders worth RS 10,000-15,000 crore for the construction of solar plants in the Middle East, according to an exchange filing.
Nestle India; The FMCG giant declared a Rs 2.75 per share interim dividend for FY25 with a record date of July 16, 2024. The dividend is payable from March 31, 2024.
RVNL: The railway PSU company’s stock is likely to remain in focus on Tuesday in the countdown to the Union Budget on July 23, 2024, since the Centre is expected to make new announcements in the railways sector on Budget day.
