New Delhi: The Sensex on Tuesday closed 152.93 points lower at 81,820.12 while the Nifty was down 70.60 points to 25,057.35. Bajaj Finance, Reliance Industries, and Tata Steel were the top losers while ICICI Bank, Bharti Airtel, and Asian Paints were the top gainers. Here are stocks that are likely to remain in focus on Wednesday, October 16, 2024:

Adani Enterprises: The company’s airport infrastructure arm Adani Airport Holdings said it will invest Rs 1,300 crore towards the expansion of Thiruvananthapuram International Airport (TRV) by 2027.

BEML: The railway PSU giant secured a Rs 867 crore contract for the manufacturing of 2 high-speed trainsets with 8 cars each at cost of Rs 27.86 crore per car, according to an exchange filing.

Central Bank of India: Competition watchdog CCI gave its nod to Central Bank of India’s proposed stake purchase of a 24.91 per cent stake in Future Generali India Insurance.

Cochin Shipyard: The Centre will slash its stake by 5 per cent in the ship maker through an offer for sale of shares priced at RS 1,540 apiece, starting from October 16, 2024.

IndiGo: India’s largest air carrier’s venture capital arm IndiGo Ventures received markets regulator SEBI’s nod for the launch of a venture capital fund.

KEI Industries: The cable comoany reported a 10.3 per cent jump in Q2 net profit to Rs 154.8 crore from Rs 140.3 crore in the year-ago period, according to a regulatory filing.

Ola Electric: The EV 2-wheeler maker’s shares rose 3 per cent on Tuesday after it shared a detailed list of steps it plans to take to address consumer complaints following rap from the Central Consumer Protection Authority.

Power Grid: The PSU giant said it had acquired 2 transmission projects in Gujarat, namely, Jam Khambhaliya Transmission and South Olpad Transmission through a competitive bidding process from PFC Consulting.

PVR INOX: The cinema chain operator reported a Q2 consolidated net loss of Rs 12.1 crore as the movie exhibition business declined, compared to a net profit of Rs 166.2 crore in the year ago period, according to an exchange filing.

Tata Motors: The company’s premium arm Jaguar Land Rover reported a 36 per cent rise in retail sales to 3,214 units in the first half of FY25, compared.
