Kolkata: The stocks in news today (February 20) include Bharat Forge, RITES, Signature Global, Arkade Developers, JBM Auto for different corporate developments that will impact positively on their business. Meanwhile, both the benchmark Indian stock market indices ended trading session of February 19 on a flat note.

Incidentally, on February 19, banking stocks performed well. Indices such as Nifty Private Bank and PSU Bank indices ended the day’s session by more than 1% each. On the other hand, Bank Nifty index recorded gains of 0.98%. Gains were also visible in the consumer durables, financial services, metal and media stocks. let’s have a look at the stocks mentioned above.

Bharat Forge

Bharat Forge has announced that it has concluded an agreement with AM General, USA to supply made-in-India artillery cannons. A letter of intent has been signed in AbuDhabi by Kalyani Strategic Systems. It would mark the first supply of cannons from an Indian manufacturer to the US. “It is a testament to our capabilities and a major advancement in our mission to be a world leading artillery solutions provider. This agreement underscores the trust and confidence that global defence leaders, such as AM General, place in our capabilities,” Bharat Forge CMD Baba Kalyani said.

RITES

Railways is developing more than 1,300 railway stations under the Amrit Bharat Station Scheme (ABSS), which s a move to modernise their infrastructure to ease travelling for passengers. RITES will design permanent holding areas in stations such as New Delhi, Anand Vihar, Ghaziabad, Varanasi and Ayodhya stations. One of the objectives is to tackle the overcrowding at main stations. ABSS was kicked off in February 2023. The targets are aesthetic designs, resurfacing of platforms, landscaping, roof plaza, colourful kiosks, food courts and even kids’ play area.

Signature Global

Real estate company Signature Global has announced that has won contracts valued at Rs 567.37 crore to build a housing project in Gurugram. The company has awarded contract worth Rs 482 crore to B L Gupta Construction and another company Shri Balaji was given contracts valued at Rs 85.37 crore for the project titled ‘Daxin Vistas’. According to the deal, in 36 months B L Gupta Construction will build 2,792 floors. Shri Balaji has the responsibility of handling Sewage Treatment Plant, stormwater drainage, irrigation, rainwater harvesting etc.

Arkade Developers

Arkade Developers, a real estate firm, has announced that it has won development rights of a co-operative housing society in Mumbai which can be valued at nothing less than Rs 740 crore. Arkade Developers has informed the exchanges that it “secured the redevelopment rights for Nutan Ayojan, a co-operative housing society in Malad West, marking another milestone in its strategic expansion across Mumbai’s prime micro-markets.” It was also mentioned that the project will be spread across 6,858.90 square metres, which translates into a gross saleable RERA carpet area of 2.33 lakh square feet. The project will have 408 dwelling units.

JBM Auto

JBM Ecolife Mobility, which is a subsidiary of JBM Auto, has said that it has won an order of Rs 5,500 crore for supply of 1,021 electric buses under the PM e-Bus Sewa Scheme. They have to supplied over the next year and a half. They will be used in 19 cities in Gujarat, Maharashtra and Haryana. “The total order valued at approximately Rs 5,500 crore reinforces its leadership in the electric mobility space and aligns with India’s vision for a cleaner and more sustainable public transport ecosystem,” the company said.
