New Delhi: Indian indices were closed on Wednesday on the occasion of Muharram. the Sensex and Nifty closed at new highs on Tuesday, pre-empting a surge in Wall Street indices. All eyes will be on IREDA’s stock price as the company reversed gains for the first time on Tuesday amid SELL call given by a brokerage.
Here are stocks that are likely to remain in focus on Thursday:
Nazara Technologies: The gaming company’s directly owned subsidiaries Openplay Tech and Halaplay Technologies have received a Rs 1,120 crore GST demand.
IREDA: The renewables PSU’s share price will be in focus after the company’s board gave its nod for Rs 290 crore investment with SJVN in a hydroelectric power project in Nepal. The compamy’s share price tanked 6 per cent on Tuesday.
LTI Mindtree: The IT giant reported a 3.1 per cent year-on-year rise in net profit to Rs 1,133.8 crore in Q1FY25, compared to Rs 1,099.9 crore in the year-ago period. The company’s revenue rose 2.8 per cent y-o-y to Rs 9,142.6 crore.
Asian Paints: The paints company reported a 24.6 per cent decline in Q1 net profits to Rs 1,187 crore on a y-o-y basis. Revenues were down 2.3 per cent to RS 8,969.7 crore.
IT companies: IT companies’ stocks will be in focus after the Karnataka government reversed a bill providing for 100 per cent reservation for the state’s residents.
ZEEL: The media giant will raise Rs 1,997 crore through the issuance of 10-year foreign currency convertible bonds.
Glenmark Pharma: The pharma giant received ANDA approval for the epilepsy treatment drug Topiramate Capsules USP.
Defence stocks: This sector will be in focus after Jefferies’ Chris Wood said he was bullish on the sector and missed an opportunity to invest in them during a town hall discussion.
Techno Electric: The company’s board approved a plan to raise funds via Rs 1.250 crore QIP at Rs 1,506.58 per share.
Adani Green: The Adani Group company said its operational capacity rose 31 per cent y-o-y to 10,934 MW as the sale of energy rose 22 per cent on-year basis to 7,536 million units.
L&T Finance: The comoany posted an all-time high profit of Rs 685 crore in Q1Fy25, while net interest income rose 31 per cent y-o-y. The company’s Q1 revenue was up 17.4 per cent y-o-y to Rs 3,784.4 crore.
ONGC: The Navratna PSU has started coal bed methane block production in Bokaro, Jharkhand with an initial production of 1,70,000 SCMD.
Telco stocks: Bharti Airtel, Reliance Joo and Vodafone Idea will be in focus as Airtel led the other two in terms of subscriber additions in May.
