Larsen & Toubro (L&T) said that the Bombay High Court has quashed a GST demand of Rs 2,237 crore imposed on the company. “The Company had on August 14, 2023 filed a Writ Petition in the Bombay High Court against the show cause notice issued by the Principal Commissioner of GST and Service Tax, Mumbai towards Service tax demand of Rs 2,237 crore, on an erstwhile subsidiary, in respect of Tax already paid by the Company with respect to certain transactions undertaken post demerger,” L&T said in its exchange filing.
Zomato
Zomato shares are expected to be in focus as Antfin Singapore Holding offloaded Zomato stocks worth Rs 4,771 crore via block deals on August 20, 2024. 18.54 crore shares were sold via two block counts of 9.27 crore shares each.
Saraswati Saree Depot
A day after making its debut on the stock exchanges at a premium of 25 per cent against the issue price of Rs 160, shares of Saraswati Saree Depot are expected to be in focus on Wednesday. The stock made its debut at Rs 200, registering a jump of 25 per cent.
Hindustan Zinc
Vedanta Group’s Hindustan Zinc Ltd confirmed that its board has approved the second interim dividend of Rs 19 per share for 2024-25 amounting to Rs 8,028.11 crore. “The board…has considered and approved the second interim dividend of Rs 19 per equity share i.e. 950 per cent on face value of Rs 2 per equity share for financial year 2024-25 amounting to Rs 8,028.11 crore,” Hindustan Zinc Ltd (HZL) said in a filing to BSE.
