Stocks in News today: SBI, Vedanta, Asian Paints and more

Mumbai: The share price of Godrej Properties, Vedanta, Tata Motors, State Bank of India (SBI) and Asian Paints are expected to be in news on November 11, 2024 due to various reasons like Q2 Results 2024-25.

Godrej Properties share price

Realty firm Godrej Properties’ net debt increased 2 per cent to Rs 7,572 crore during the second quarter of 2024-25. According to an investors’ presentation, the real estate major’s net debt was reported at Rs 7,432 crore at the end of the June quarter of this fiscal.

Godrej Properties has several projects in Mumbai Metropolitan Region (MMR), Bengaluru, Delhi-NCR, and Pune. In October 2024, the company’s board approved the proposal to raise up to Rs 6,000 crore through the issue of securities. The real estate developer plans to raise the funds through the issuance of debentures, securities, preference shares, including equity shares, and/or any other eligible securities.

Vedanta share price

Vedanta Chairman Anil Agarwal has said that the debt at Vedanta Resources has been reduced by USD 4.7 billion in two years. In a letter to shareholders, Agarwal mentioned that the parent firm of the Mumbai-listed mining conglomerate Vedanta Ltd reported its highest-ever EBITDA of Rs 20,639 crore in the July-September quarter of 2024-25 as a result of “focus on achieving higher production levels, driving operational excellence, and successfully navigating a dynamic global environment”.

The Vedanta owner said his company’s zinc and aluminium production volumes have reached record levels. “In the near future, we are aiming to double the production levels at our subsidiary, Hindustan Zinc Ltd, increase oil production at Cairn Oil & Gas to 3 lakh barrels of oil equivalent per day, and increase the capacity at our aluminium smelter to 3 million tonnes per annum,” he said.

Asian Paints share price

In its Q2 Results 2024-25, Asian Paints reported a 43.71 per cent decline in consolidated net profit to Rs 693.66 crore. The paint manufacturing company had recorded a net profit of Rs 1,232.39 crore during the second quarter of the previous financial year. As per regulatory filing by Asian Paints, company’s revenue from operations lowered down 5.3 per cent to Rs 8,027.54 crore in the September quarter as compared to Rs 8,478.57 crore in the previous fiscal. The total expenses stood at Rs 7,093.03 crore in the quarter ending September.

Tata Motors share price

Tata Motors declared its Q2 Results 2024-25 on November 8, 2024. Tata Motors’ revenue lowered 3.5 percent to Rs 101.5K crore, while EBITDA stood at Rs 11.6K crore, which also dropped 11.4%, down 230bps. The net Profit was reported at Rs 3.5K crore.

State Bank of India share price expected to be in focus as the largest PSU bank of the country declared a 23 per cent jump in consolidated net profit for the second quarter of 2024-25. SBI’s net profit was recorded at Rs 18,331 crore as compared to Rs 14,330 crore in 2023-24. The bank’s core net interest income increased 5.37 per cent to Rs 41,620 crore despite a 15 per cent increase in advances.
