New Delhi: The domestic earnings season as numerous companies are declaring their Q4 Results 2024-25 these days. Varun Beverages, Indus Towers, Vedanta, Adani Power, and Bandhan Bank declared their financial results on 30 April 2025 (Wednesday). With stock market observing a holiday on May 1, the stocks of the mentioned companies are expected to be in focus on Friday, i.e., May 2.
The Indian stock market ended flat in a highly volatile trade on April 30 as Bajaj Finance, Bajaj Finserv and geopolitical tensions dragged indices lower. The BSE Sensex barometer declined 46.14 points to close at 80,242.24. The NSE Nifty settled marginally lower by 1.75 points at 24,334.20.
Stocks to be in focus on May 2
Indus Towers
Telecom infrastructure company Indus Towers on April 30 declared its January-March quarter results of 2024-25. The company reported a net profit of Rs 1,779 crore in the Q4 of the previous financial year, a decline of 4 per cent year-on-year. The revenue in the last quarter stood at Rs 7,727 crore, an increase of 7.4 per cent year-on-year.
“During the quarter, the company acquired passive infrastructure assets from Bharti Airtel and accounted for the same as a common control transaction in accordance with Ind AS 103 which requires restatement of financial results of Indus Towers from the date on which common control was established i.e. Nov 19, 2024. Accordingly, Q4 FY25 financial results includes an accounting impact of Rs 183 crore for operating expenses and depreciation,” the release said.
Indus Towers shares ended at Rs 406.50 on 3oth April 2025.
Vedanta
Anil Agarwal-led Vedanta Ltd announced its Q4 2024-25 Results. The mining major’s consolidated net profit recorded a 154.4 per cent increase to Rs 3,483 crore in the January-March quarter. The net profit stood at Rs 1,369 crore in the year-ago period.
The company’s income in the last quarter of 2024-25 surged to Rs 41,216 crore as compared to Rs 36,093 crore in the same quarter of 2023-24. Profit After Tax (PAT) stood at Rs 4,961 crore, up 118 per cent Y-o-Y and 2 per cent Q-o-Q.
The consolidated net profit of the company in the financial year ended March 2025 increased to Rs 14,988 crore from Rs 4,239 crore in March 2024.
The company’s consolidated income during 2024-25 increased to Rs 1,56,643 crore from Rs 1,46,277 crore in the preceding fiscal.
Vedanta share closed at Rs 417.20 per equity share on April 30.
Adani Power
In its Q4 Results of 2024-25, Adani Power declared a 5 per cent decline in its consolidated net profit to Rs 2,599.23 crore, while it was Rs 2,737.24 crore in the quarter ended on March 31, 2024. The company’s Profit After Tax (PAT or net profit) for January-March quarter of FY25 was similar at Rs 2,599 crore to the PAT for Q4 FY24. Profit after tax for the entire financial year FY25 was down to Rs 12,750 crore as against Rs 20,829 crore in FY24. The financials mentioned that Adani Power recorded 102.2 Billion Units (BU) power generation in FY25, while it was 85.5 BU in FY24.
Adani Power shares ended at Rs 529.50 apiece on Wednesday.
Varun Beverages
Varun Beverages declared its financial results on Wednesday. The leading bottler of beverages major PepsiCo, registered a 33.47 per cent jump in consolidated profit after tax of Rs 731.36 crore in the first quarter ended March 2025, as compared to Rs 547.98 crore in the same quarter a year ago.
The company follows the calendar year as its financial year. The company’s revenue was recorded at Rs 5,680.03 crore, while the total expenses in the quarter under review was Rs 4,729.7 crore. The company witnessed its consolidated sales volume increasing by 30.1 per cent to 312.4 million cases in Q1 CY2025 from 240.2 million cases in Q1 CY2024.
Varun Beverages stock settled at Rs 519.70 apiece on April 30.
Bandhan Bank
Bandhan Bank declared its March quarter 2024-25 results on Wednesday. The bank recorded a nearly 6-fold jump in net profit at Rs 317.90 crore as compared to Rs 54.62 crore in the same quarter a year ago.
The private sector bank’s total income increased to Rs 6,133 crore in January-March quarter of 2024-25. The bank reported its net profit rising 23.1 per cent to Rs 2,745 crore year-on-year, while the total income during the previous financial year surged to Rs 24,915 crore as against Rs 21,041 crore in 2023-24.
Bandhan Bank share price finished at Rs 165 apiece on Wednesday
