New Delhi: The veterans of the fashion industry made a grand comeback at the India Couture Week on Wednesday with a grand opening show for the runway. The runway at the Taj Palace, New Delhi was all lit up and all the glamourous moulded walked for the designers at the opening show for their brand Asal and Mard.
The theme of the runway was known as ‘Disco Mujra’ for the opening walk of the younger brands. Akshay and IP curated the song for the show, which was appealing enough to enthral the audience. Both the singers, appeared live on the stage while they walked and sang to cheer the audience and set the right mood for the show.
Taha Shah showstopper for Abu Jani Sandeep Khosla
The duo brought the Bollywood charm to Delhi, with ‘Heeramandi’ fame Taha Shah as the showstopper for the Bridal Couture along with actress Wamiqa Gabbi as their muses. The beautiful Wamiqa entered the room in a charming ivory trail lehenga with an intricate floral pattern from the ‘Botanical Bloom’ line, highlighting the resham hand embroidery and silk thread work with crystals and pearls to add a touch of glamour to the lehenga.
For the closing look, the actress was seen wearing a gorgeous red lehenga from the ‘Bridal Gota’ collection with gota, zari and hand-crafted work marking her debut on the runway.
Taha on the other side did not leave a chance to mesmerise the audience with his charm and graced them with ‘Adaab’ to add a touch of sophistication to his runway walk. In an olive silk kurta, Taha looked absolutely handsome with crystals all over the filing birds. The kurta was paired with brocade flared pants.
For another look, he picked brocade pants with a textile drape adorned with Zardosi embroidery, another special piece by Abu Jani Sandeep Khosla.
