Mumbai: India is preparing for the result of the 18th Lok Sabha Election with a total of 543 seats, including 412 general category seats, 84 reserved for Scheduled Castes (SC), and 47 reserved for Scheduled Tribes (ST) today, on June 4.
Telugu Desam Party (TDP) and its allies Janasena and BJP are leading in 157 out of the total 175 assembly seats in Andhra Pradesh, indicating a strong prospect of forming the government in the state. As per the latest data from the Election Commission, TDP is ahead in 132, Janasena in 20, and BJP in seven assembly seats.
In a seat-sharing agreement within the NDA, TDP contested 144 Assembly and 17 Lok Sabha constituencies, while BJP fielded candidates in six Lok Sabha and 10 Assembly seats. Janasena contested two Lok Sabha and 21 Assembly seats.
Jagan Mohan Reddy’s YSR Congress Party is leading in 18 segments, with the Chief Minister himself ahead in the Pulivendula assembly segment. Additionally, prominent leaders such as N Chandrababu Naidu, Lokesh, and Pawan Kalyan are also leading in their respective assembly segments.
