New Delhi: A bizarre incident took place in Nagpur just ahead of the commencement of India’s ODI series against England on Thursday. A senior member of India’s support staff, Raghavendra Dwivedi, aka, Raghu, was stopped by the police as soon as he came out of the team bus and denied entry to the team hotel as they mistook him as an Indian cricket fan.
Team India produced an excellent stuff in the T20I series against the visitors, claiming it 4-1. Both the sides will lock horns in a three-match ODI series beginning from the first ODI at the Vidarbha Cricket Association Stadium in Nagpur on February 6, Thursday. The Men in Blue would want to continue their winning momentum against the English side in the 50-over format as well.

Raghu, crucial member of India’s support staff, was selected by none other than Master Blaster Sachin Tendulkar back in the year 2011 as a throwdown specialist for the side. A throwdown specialist helps the team batters to improve their ability to adapt to varied bowlers and bowling conditions. Raghu has played a key role over the years in helping out star India team batters.
