Telangana CM Revanth Reddy: KCR began culture of MLA poaching

Hyderabad:  Telangana CM and TPCC President Revanth Reddy hit out at ex-cm K Chandrasekhar Rao (KCR) over BRS MLA defections to Congress and stated that KCR has no moral ground to speak on defections.

At a press conference in New Delhi, Revanth Reddy accused KCR of starting the ‘culture of MLA poaching’ from other parties when the BRS was in power. “He has snatched 61 MLAs and MLCs in the past. Does he not remember that? KCR should apologize for encouraging defection. KTR and Harish Rao said that our government will collapse within a few months. At that time BJP also supported this statement. What should we make of those kind of comments?”

Addressing the issue of Congress MLC T Jeevan Reddy, he said that keeping in view of his seniority, the party will respect his opinion and give him priority. “The opposition wanted to use Jeevan Reddy issue politically. They do not understand his commitment to Congress. The party will use his services as a senior leader.”

On the rumours of cabinet expansion, he said that there is no vacancy in any portfolio. Over the last two days, he met Union Ministers to seek funds and projects for Telangana, ahead of the union budget.
