However, some evacuees expressed concerns about its safety, given that it has been targeted in the past.

In recent weeks, Israeli forces have made a series of returns to previously cleared areas in the Gaza Strip, where they had previously claimed to have driven Hamas fighters out. The military has been dropping leaflets instructing residents and those displaced by the fighting to evacuate from eastern Khan Younis, which has seen repeated waves of conflict.
“God knows, we are walking now. They said to go to humanitarian areas, but there is no safe place here in Gaza. It is all destroyed and damaged,” said a displaced woman named Um Raed Abu Elyan, whilst speaking to a journalist from The Guardian. Israel believes defeating Hamas is a necessity to ensure terrorists never dare to butcher innocent Jews again.
