New Delhi: Stocks of IRCTC, SJVN, and Apollo Micro Systems were trending on Wednesday, January 1, 2025. The Sensex was up over 400 points while the Nifty jumped 0.50 per cent on Wednesday, despite negative cues from Wall Street. The benchmark indices reversed early declines to rise nearly 0.50 per cent on Wednesday.
FII selling remains a near-term challenge for Indian stock markets, said Geojit Finanical Services’ Chief Investment Strategist V K Vijaykumar.
IRCTC share price
IRCTC’s share price rose 0.14 per cent at the time of writing on Wednesday backed by a surge in the benchmark BSE Sensex. IRCTC’s share price stood at Rs 788 apiece at the time of writing. The company;s share price has icnhed up 0.08 per cent in the past 5 days, but slipped 3.49 per cent in the past month.
The Railway PSU’s stock plunged over 20 per cent in the past 6 months and was down over 11 per cent in the past year. However, IRCTC’s share price rose on Wednesday despite a gap down start as over 10,000 shares of the railway PSU changed hands in ealry trade.
SJVN share price
Shares of PSU navratna company SJVN jumped over 6 per cent to RD 110.80 apiece at 12;48 pm on the first trading day of 2025 on Wednesday, January 1, 2025. The company’s share price was down 0.16 per cent in the past 5 days, over 2 per cent in the past month, and over 15 per cent in the past 6 months.
Over the past year, SJVN’s share price gained 19.01 per cent, according to NSE data. SJVN started 20205 on a positive note after sharing that it had inked fresh agreements for the development of pumped storage projects in Patna, Bihar, worth Rs 10,000 crore.
Apollo Micro Systems share price
Apollo Micro Systems’ share price rose over 4 per cent to Rs 120.65 apiece pn Wednesday at 12:52 pm. The company’s stock has gained over 25 per cent in the past 5 days, over 19 per cent in the past month, over 14 per cent in the past 6 months, and nearly 1 per cent in the past year. The defence manufacturer recently shared an update wherein it expects its order book to match its past 3 years’ combined revenues at nearly Rs 1,500 crore.
