New Delhi: The UFC 305 preliminary card concluded in RAC Arena, Perth, Australia on August 18, Sunday. In the card, Ricky Glenn suffered a nasty head ‘knot’ during a match as he was against Song Kenan. The swelling on Glenn’s head was so visible on his face that in the second round of the fight, the knot was seen as very big compared to his face.

It was Song’s jumping knee that hurt Glenn’s head and gave him a knot in his face in the first round but Glenn didn’t take a back step in the match and was never seen being stopped by Song’s striking despite a heavy dominance of Song’s in the fight. Song won the fight via unanimous decision by (30-27, 30-26, 29-28).

Valter Walker submitted Junior Tafa by ankle lock in the first round. Tafa came out swinging hard and hit a couple of good shots to Walker but the Brazilian was looking for his opportunity to takedown Tafa and Walker was successful in taking down Tafa and took good control on the ground as Tafa’s shoulders were down to the ground. In the final seconds of the first round, Walker locked Tafa’s ankle and made him submit via technical submission.
Ricardo Ramos defeated Josh Culibao via split decision. Both fighters were engaged in a competitive battle, Culibao came out hot in the fight and attacked Ramos with his low kicks but Ramos took control in the later half of the round on the mat and attempted a deep choke to Culibao but Culibao escaped from the choke. In the second round, both fighters fought on their feet and went to the third round as the things are pressure was gaining up. Ramos closed the third round in the top position and with his grappling he took advantage in the bout.
