New Delhi: Nothing stops a fan from seeing his hero and when the entire craze is about star Indian cricketer Virat Kohli, the fandom goes up to another level. While it was expected that the IPL 2025 will resume on time on Saturday after a 10-day gap due to India-Pakistan tension but rain played a spoilsport delaying the toss for the match between RCB and KKR at the M. Chinanswamy stadium in Bengaluru.
With the weather gods acting as a barrier just before the commencement, the torrential rain in the city did not stop the fans from reaching out to the stadium in large number just to pay tribute to their favourite cricketer who recently called it quits from the Test format. Donning Kohli’s iconic number 18 Test jersey, a sea of fans was seen in whites at the stadium but it started to rain heavily before the toss, keeping them on their seats in the stands as they kept waiting for Kohli’s glimpse.
While its expected that the rain won’t wash out the entire match but will certainly delay the proceedings for hours which can lead to loss of overs. If not a full game, cricket fans can expect a rain-curtailed match as per weather reports.
To Virat, with LOVE! 🤍
A lovely gesture by the fans in Bengaluru, donning white jerseys to pay tribute to Virat Kohli’s incredible Test journey! 👑

While for the RCB fans, a wash out won’t matter that much as the side will qualify for the playoffs even if rain washes play on Saturday and points are shared. One point will take RCB to 17 points and bag them a seat in playoffs but for the Knight Riders, it will be disastrous as the franchise would be eliminated from the race.
