Virat Kohli, on Sunday, proved that the game isn’t yet over for him as he roared back to form in the longest format of the game with a blazing century in the Perth Test against Australia. After a drought of almost 16 months in Tests, the entire crowd in the stadium showered the trailblazing batter with affection as he brought up his 30th Test century, first in this year in utmost style.
Batting on his favourite Australia turf, Kohli charged at the Aussie bowlers in a ferocious manner sending a loud and clear message that he’s here to rule. His special century, which came off 143 deliveries, was his seventh Test century in Australia and ninth against the opposition. Enroute to his 30th Test ton, he completed 2000 runs in Border-Gavaskar Trophy.
Kohli now has a total of 81 centuries in international cricket (50 – ODIs, 30 Tests, 1 T20Is)
