New Delhi: New Zealand Prime Minister Christopher Luxon was spotted on Wednesday enjoying some gully cricket with a group of kids in the streets of New Delhi. The legendary Kapil Dev, former New Zealand batter Ross Taylor and Kiwi spinner Ajaz Patel joined PM Luxon for a game with the children on the streets. Luxon flexed his cricketing skills on the streets and was seen enjoying his time with other cricketers.

PM Luxon and Kapil teamed up against Ajaz and Taylor while the kids also joined the fun. The New Zealand Prime Minister flexed his hitting prowess with the bat as he played some good shots while facing the kids. In a video shared on his official Instagram page, PM Luxon was also seen trying his hands at bowling during the street cricket match.

The 54-year-old also ran from one and to another while batting to display his fitness and plucked a great catch of Ajaz at leg slip to flaunt his sharp reflexes. PM Luxon also expressed his delight at getting a chance to play cricket with 1983 World Cup-winning captain Kapil Dev. “This is unbelievable. I am playing cricket with Kapil Dev on the streets of New Delhi with some amazing kids,” he said in the video.

Ajaz lauded the New Zealand Prime Minister for taking a sharp catch to get him out. “I thought I would glance it down the leg side, and I forgot that the PM was standing there. He pouched it. It was unbelievable. It was a good catch,” said the spinner. PM Luxon, Kapil, Taylor and Ajaz also posed for a photograph with the children following the conclusion of the game.
