New Delhi: As Anant Ambani and Radhika Merchant gear up for their highly-anticipated wedding ceremony this weekend in Mumbai, they have already started ticking off the elite celebrity list of invitees. One of the invitees – professional wrestler and actor John Cena touched down in Mumbai on Friday to attend the grand wedding ceremony, adding more weight to the already star-studded wedding.
The wedding is scheduled to take place at the Jio World Convention Centre and promises to be a grand affair highlighting an “Ambani-family” wedding and surely for an impressive guest list including prominent figures from Hollywood. The invitees include celebrities like Kim Kardashian and Khloe Kardashian, known for their influence in the entertainment and fashion industry.
Meanwhile, John Cena’s presence will surely elevate the “big fat Indian wedding.” He was spotted at the airport upon his arrival in India, dressed casually and smiling while emerging from the airport. The paparazzi who were present at the airport funnily shouted his name with some crying out loud, “John Babuuuuu” (John dear). The WWE superstar waved to the Indian media as he made his way to the car to head to the wedding.

Grand weekend lies ahead
The wedding festivities of Anant Ambani and Radhika Merchant will begin on July 12 with the pious Shubh Vivah where the guests are expected to don Indian traditional attire. On July 13, both families will celebrate Shubh Aashirwad for which the dress code remains Indian formal. On July 14, the celebrations will conclude with Mangal Utsav, which is the wedding reception and the guests will be encouraged to dress in an Indian chic outfit.
The Ambani and Merchant’s families organised several pre-wedding ceremonies during the past week that garnered huge attention as well. Several celebrities attended the mega events like Sangeet, Mehendi, and Haldi. Earlier this year, a three-day pre-wedding celebration took place in Vantara, Gujarat which was again, highlighted by the presence of the stars, from cricket to Bollywood and Hollywood. It featured a notable performance from international pop star Rihanna as well. The wedding ceremony in Mumbai is expected to be attended by all the B-town biggies.
