New Delhi: West Indies pacer Justin Greaves, who’s known for his typical style of pace bowling, turned an off-spinner on Tuesday to castle Litton Das on the third day of the second Test match in Jamaica. Das, who was looking good in Bangladesh’s innings, fell victim to a beautiful off-spinner bowled by Greaves as the batter looked completely clueless.
Bangladesh looked in a commanding position, moving ahead towards a big lead, after bundling out West Indies for a paltry total of 146 runs. The top-order batters of the side got off to a fine start and the remaining batters also carried on the momentum to take Bangladesh to 193/5, with q solid second innings lead of 211 runs.
Das bamboozled after nice little knock
Litton Das got bamboozled after playing a fine little knock of 25 runs off 34 balls for Bangladesh. Although he could not contribute much in the lead, yet the batter looked promising with his shot play and also smashed three boundaries before going back to the pavilion. Meanwhile, in the 34th over of the innings, Greaves’ 5th delivery was an unplayable one as he bowled a beautiful off-break to castle Das.
The delivery pitched outside the off stump and then turned back sharply in, exactly the way spinners turn the ball. Das wasn’t expecting it as he was completely deceived and then shocked to see his stump go off. The ball reminded fans of Ravichandran Ashwin, who is known for his brilliant off-break deliveries.

Meanwhile on Wednesday, Bangladesh would look to capitalise on the lead gained on the second day and give a target of ta least 300 runs for West Indies to chase. The hosts on the other hand would want to warp up the innings as soon as soon possible on the fourth day by claiming the remaining five wickets quickly.
