New Delhi: The share price of Vodafone Idea, Kotak Mahindra Bank, and Wipro jumped on January 20, 2025, i.e., Monday. While Idea and Kotak rallied nearly 10 per cent in the morning trade, Wipro appreciated over 7 per cent.
The stock markets rallied today in early trade on firm global trends and surge in Kotak Mahindra Bank. The BSE Sensex gained 174 points to trade at 76,793.66 at 10:15 am. The NSE Nifty appreciated 31 points to 23,234.35.
Idea share price
Idea share price rallied nearly 10 per cent today. The stock was trading at Rs 10.03 per equity share at 9:40 am. The Vodafone Idea stock gained after the Union Cabinet approved the refarming of 687 Mhz spectrum for mobile services. Union Telecom Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia
confirmed that the “Union Cabinet approved the refarming of 687 Mhz. This means this takes us from 900 Mhz to 1,587 Mhz. (Of which) 320 (MHz) will be released immediately, some by the end of next year and some by the end of 2028-29, which makes us ready for 2030.”
Kotak Mahindra Bank share price
The shares of Kotak Mahindra Bank jumped nearly 10 per cent to trade at Rs 1925 apiece on January 20. The stock rallied after the bank posted a 10.22 per cent rise in its December quarter consolidated net profit to Rs 4,701 crore as against Rs 4,265 crore in the year-ago period and Rs 5,044 crore in the preceding September quarter.
In its Q3 2024-25 Results, Kotak Mahindra Bank mentioned that its net profit surged to Rs 3,304 crore from Rs 3,005 crore in the year-ago period but was marginally down when compared with the September quarter’s Rs 3,343 crore.
Wipro share price
Wipro share price jumped over 7 per cent to trade at Rs 302.90 apiece at 9:46 am today.
The IT firm stock jumped after it topped expectations with 24.4 per cent rise in Q3 Profit After Tax (PAT).
In its October-December Results, Wipro registered a 24.4 per cent year-on-year rise in consolidated net profit at Rs 3,354 crore. The country’s fourth-largest IT services company saw its revenue from operations rise a marginal 0.5 per cent to about Rs 22,319 crore aided by momentum in banking, financial services, and insurance space as well as Americas geography.
Wipro declared an interim dividend of Rs 6 per equity share/ADS.
