New Delhi: ITC, Life Insurance Corporation of India (LIC) and Belrise Industries shares are in focus on May 28, 2025, Wednesday. LIC shares jumped nearly 9 percent post the announcement of Q4 earnings. Belrise Industries stock jump over 11 percent in market debut trade. ITC shares tumbled nearly 5 percent after stake sale.

ITC share price declined nearly 5 percent after British multinational BAT Plc reduced its stake in the firm by 2.3 percent through a block deal worth Rs 11,613 crore (USD 1.36 billion). The stock was trading at Rs 419.45 per equity share at around noon. The FMCG major emerged as the biggest laggard among the BSE Sensex pack.

The ITC shares dropped after British American Tobacco (BAT), through its arm Tobacco Manufacturers (India) Ltd, sold its stake in ITC by 2.3 percent.

Belrise Industries share news

Belrise Industries Ltd shares made their debut with a premium of over 11 per cent on Wednesday. The stock got listed at Rs Rs 98.50 on the BSE as against the issue price of Rs 90. It jumped to Rs 14.66 per cent to Rs 103.20. However, later it was trading at Rs 98.85 apiece. At the NSE, the stock got listed at Rs 100.

Belrise Industries IPO received huge response from the investors as it got subscribed 41.30 times on the closing day of bidding on May 23. The company is engaged in the manufacturing of automotive components like safety-critical systems and other engineering solutions for two-wheelers, three-wheelers, four-wheelers, commercial vehicles and agri-vehicles.

LIC shares in focus

In the morning trade, Life Insurance Corporation of India (LIC) shares jumped nearly 9 per cent after the firm posted a 38 per cent increase in net profit in Q4 of 2024-25.

The stock of the state-owned insurer jumped 8.83 per cent to Rs 948 on the BSE in the morning and at NSE, it gained 8.80 per cent to Rs 948. Later, it started trading with nearly 7 percent gains at Rs 931.60 apiece.

LIC Q4 2024-25 Results highlights

LIC posted a 38 per cent increase in net profit to Rs 19,013 crore.

The total income of the insurer stood at Rs 2,41,625 crore.

LIC’s income from first-year premium also moderated to Rs 11,069 crore in the January-March quarter.
