New Delhi: The Indian captain Rohit Sharma is on a break and has started preparing for the upcoming Test series against Bangladesh. There’s a lot of uncertainty over his future in the Mumbai Indians (MI) ahead of the IPL 2025 mega auction.
MI removed Rohit from the captaincy and appointed Hardik Pandya as the new skipper ahead of the IPL 2024. Fans were upset with the franchise’s decision and booed Hardik during the matches. After the IPL, Team India won the 2024 T20 World Cup under Rohit’s captaincy and Hardik also played a key role in the tournament.
As per the reports, several franchises are eager to buy Rohit in the upcoming mega auction and are closely monitoring the situation. Not only Rohit, there are also reports about KL Rahul leaving the Lucknow-based franchise.
The reports of a tiff between KL Rahul and the LSG management have increased after franchise owner Sanjeev Goenka rebuked the wicket-keeper batter following their loss against Sunrisers Hyderabad.
