New Delhi: West Indies fast bowler Jayden Seales looks in some form during the first innings of the second Test against Bangladesh, helping the hosts wrap up Bangla batting at just 164 after 71.5 overs. He had four wickets to his credit and turned out to be the most economical bowler of all. As many as seven bowlers rolled their arm over for the Windies but the spell delivered by Seales was indeed unreal.
Although he missed a much-deserved five-wicket haul, he did manage to catch attention with his economical spell that he sent down to Bangladesh. Bowling 15.5 overs, Seales conceded only five runs and bowled 10 overs out of these as maidens. His bowling figures after the conclusion of Bangladesh’s batting read 15.5-10-5-4, which also made him enter the record books as he bagged the best economy rate in men’s Test since 1978 with his stingy bowling.

Match so far
Due to torrential rains in Jamaica, the start of the second Test was delayed on Sunday. Bangladesh opted to bat first at the toss and opener Shadman Islam scored a half-century on the first day itself. Other than him, Shahadat Hossain scored 22 while skipper Mehidy Hasan Miraz hit 36. These were the only top scores of Bangladesh’s first innings as West Indies struck at regular intervals.
They were halted at 164 on Day 2 and the hosts walked out to bat, looking promising as they ended the day at 70/1 in 37 overs. Opener Mikyle Louis could make 12 before departing but his fellow opener and skipper Kraigg Brathwaite remained unbeaten on 33 while Keacy Carty was not out on 19. The only wicket was picked by Bangladesh right-arm fast Nahid Rana. The hosts are currently trailing this Test by 94 runs and are expected to eat up the deficit on Day 3.
Jayden Seales was the pick of the bowlers for West Indies as he registered unreal figures against Bangladesh after the conclusion of the first innings of the second Test in Jamaica. Cricket Sports News: Latest Cricket News, Cricket Live Score, Sports Breaking News from Sports Today
