New Delhi: Indian wicket-keeper batter Ishan Kishan shone on his red-ball comeback for Jharkhand in their match against Madhya Pradesh in the Buchi Babu Trophy 2024. After smashing a brilliant century on Day 2 of the game, Kishan slammed an unbeaten 41 off 58 balls to guide Jharkhand to a thrilling win against Madhya Pradesh in their opening match of the tournament.
Kishan, who was initially not named in Jharkhand’s squad for the red-ball tournament, was named captain of the side after he expressed his desire to play. He made a thumping return to red-ball cricket with a sublime knock of 114 runs off 107 balls in Jharkhand’s first innings on Day 2 of the match. The swashbuckling left-hander scored 41 not out of 58 deliveries to help Jharkhand chase down the target of 175 runs and win the game by two wickets.
