New Delhi: The biggest Kabaddi league in the world Pro Kabaddi League season 11 will commence on October 18. The PKL is back into the old three-city caravan format which means three cities will host the all-league games of PKL 2024. The organisers of PKL, Mashal Sports announced the commencement date on September 3, Tuesday.
PKL will start from Hyderabad on October 18, the second phase will be played in Noida and the last phase will move to Pune. The schedule of PKL is not announced till now nor dates and venues for the playoffs. Puneri Paltan will be defending their title this time, PKL finished a decade in Indian sports and now looks to carry forward the legacy that was started in 2013. After IPL, PKL is the most-watched Indian sports league in India.

“We are delighted to announce the start date and venues for PKL Season 11. After successfully completing 10 seasons, PKL Season 11 will mark a new milestone in the continued rise of the league. This would strengthen the growth of Kabaddi in India and elsewhere around the world.” PKL league commissioner, Anupam Goswami said.
Earlier the historic PKL auction took place on Independence Day in Mumbai. As many as eight players became crorepatis in the PKL auction 2024 which is the most ever in the PKL auction history. Sachin Tanwar was the most expensive player in the auction, bought by Tamil Thalaivas for Rs. 2.15 crores.
There is no player picked up by any franchise outside of Asia, the Iranian star all-rounder Mohammad Shadloui bought by Haryana Steelers for Rs. 2.07 crores in the auction. South Korea’s sensation Jang Kung Lee also returns to PKL after five years and bought by Patna Pirates for Rs. 17.50 lakhs in the auction.
