New Delhi: Planet Earth is a beautiful home, and millions of living beings reside here. In addition to offering shelter, the planet provides motherly care to all living beings and has tied them together in a web, defining the value of every individual. The planet has divided itself into two main regions, the territorial and the ocean regions. The ocean covers three-fourths of the planet, or approximately 70 per cent of the total surface of the planet. However, all inhabitants are currently facing the great challenge of the climate crisis, one of the greatest threats ever. As a major portion of the planet is covered by the ocean, it is crucial to understand the value of the vast blue region and to maintain proper health. To advocate for ocean related challenges, United Nations observes June 8 as World Oceans Day.
