Rio de Janeiro: Paulo Gabriel da Silva Barros and Katyucia Lie Hoshino, a Brazilian couple, are officially the world’s shortest married pair.
Mr. Barros and Ms. Hoshino have accepted their distinct physical qualities and formed a long relationship of 15 years before they finally decided to get married to each other.
Their story has captivated global audience, pushing people to embrace diversity and acceptance. Paulo who’s age is just 31 and 90.28 cm (35.54 in) in height, and Katyucia, is 28-year-old and 91.13 cm (35.88 in) in height.
The pair, who met in 2006, on a social media platform had a strong bond for more than 15 years before marrying.
At 31 and 28 years old, they are the shortest married pair ever documented. The announcement, made on the official Guinness World Records Instagram page, soon gained attention.
The couple says, ‘We may be short but we have big hearts and lots of love for each other as well as everybody in our lives. Our life isn’t without its challenges but we are so happy we can tackle these challenges together.’
