New Delhi: Chido Obi Martin and Ayden Heaven scored in the second half as Manchester United ended their post-season Asia tour on a high with a comeback win against Hong Kong at the Hong Kong Stadium. After being booed off the pitch following the 1-0 defeat to ASEAN All-Stars in the tour opener, United looked set to return home with a pair of dismal defeats, but a second-half comeback saved the Red Devils from more embarrassment after a 15th-placed finish in the Premier League.

Juninho opened the scoring for the home side in the 19th minute as United yet again was off to a shaky start. However, it was a much-improved second-half performance from the visitors.

United were quick to get off the blocks in the second half as Chido Obi’s neat footwork bamboozled the Hong Kong defence.

The 20-time English champions dominated the game and were awarded a second goal in the 82nd minute when Chido Obi rose the highest to meet Mason Mount’s superb cross.

Heaven, a former Arsenal academy player like Chido Obi, then netted from another header in the 94th minute to seal United’s win.

Time to rest and regroup

United now have plenty of time to rest and regroup with their next fixture scheduled for July 19 against Leeds in pre-season, before a game against West Ham on July 27.

Despite no football action in June, United will be busy reinforcing their troops, in potentially a huge month for the club, which is looking to rebuild after a horrific season.

There will be activity in the transfer market, but the club have also decisions to make in terms of players staying and players leaving.

Manchester United dominated the second half in Hong Kong, scoring three goals to register a comeback win in the last match of the post-match tour to Asia.  Football Sports News: Latest Cricket News, Cricket Live Score, Sports Breaking News from Sports Today
