Beijing: A 24-year-old Chinese influencer died during a livestream due to overeating. As per reports, the woman identified as Pan Xiaoting was a Mukbang live streamer who had a huge following.

Pan used to entertain her fans by eating various types of food on camera. She used to initially work as a waitress and started streaming as a side hustle. As her fame grew and she started doing well, Pan left her job and began focusing on streaming full-time. This decision marked a significant shift in her life and career.

As her fame grew, she began eating food in big quantities due to which her family began to worry about the potential impact on her health and cautioned her.

However, the influencers refused to listen to her family’s concerns and decided to rent a separate studio for her live-streaming sessions, to ensure a more professional and controlled environment.

Later, as Pan Xiaoting’s career progressed she pushed herself to extreme limits. Her profession led to multiple hospitalisations.

According to medical professionals, at the time of her death, she weighed 300 kg (approximately 660 pounds).

She was hospitalised due to gastric bleeding, and after being discharged, she began undertaking even more hazardous challenges.

According to media reports, Pan consumed up to 10 kg of food in a single session and would eat continuously for up to 10 hours a day.
