New Delhi: The second UFC card for next year UFC 312 have been officially rolled as UFC announced three fights for the event in the Qudos Bank Arena in Sydney, Australia on November 9, Sunday. Some fighters are returning from a long time at UFC 312, Australian fighter Jimmy Curte is returning after July 2023 and will take on Marcin Prachino in the Light Heavyweight division.
The Undefeated Japnese Rei Tsuruya will battle out against Stewart Nicoll in the flyweight division. Tsuruya won four fight in the UFC consecutively and Nicoll lost his debut fight in the UFC in August 2024. Nicoll will be looking to win after not having the great start to his UFC career.
The most anticipated return in the UFC will feature in the third bout at UFC 312. Indian fighter Anshul Jubli will make his mark in the UFC after October 2023. Jubli will take on Australian Quillan Salkilld in the Lightweight division. This event will also be the second event deal between UFC and the New South Wales government.
The promotion and government signed a three-event deal in May 2023. The deal was signed that Australia will host three premium UFC events in Sydney between 2023 and 2027.
The first event hosted by Sydney was in September 2023, where Sean Strickland upset the world by defeating Israel Adesanya. The UFC 312 main event is still not discussed but local star Alexander Volkanovski is the front-runner to headline the card.
Jubli will also become the first Indian fighter to fight in the UFC for the second time. He lost his debut fight via TKO. Jubli will be looking to make a mark in UFC and try to finish Australian fighter in front of his crowd.
