Mumbai: BSE is in the news after the stock exchange confirmed that its board of directors are scheduled to meet on March 30, 2025, to consider and approve the proposal for issue of bonus
Shares. The exchange informed the NSE about the meeting in a regulatory filing.
In its stock exchange filing on 26th March, BSE mentioned that its board of directors will meet on March 30 (Sunday) in which the proposal to issue bonus shares will be deliberated. If the directors give the green signal, then it will be BSE’s second bonus issue in three years. It may be noted that BSE shares have turned out to be a multibagger and given 4,200 percent return in the last 5 years.
According to the data available on the exchanges, BSE had issued bonus 2 bonus shares to investors for every 1 share in March 2022. In June 2024, it declared a dividend of Rs 15 per share for the shareholders.
The BSE stakeholders are keeping their fingers crossed ahead of the board meeting and eagerly awaiting the bonus issue to be declared. Bonus shares are given as additional shares to the existing investors, which increases the investment of the shareholders.
BSE trading window closed
As per the rules, there will be no buying or selling of BSE shares as the trading window will remain closed from March 26 to April 1. The trading window will also remain closed for 48 hours after the announcement of financial results.
